LOVING CLASSROOM - BUILDING A LOVING WORLD

How does one stem the tide of violence, hatred, bullying, abuse and even war? A viable long-term solution is to teach humanity how to get along with one another. Teaching HOW to love, step-by-step. Teaching how to love is the art of Loving Classroom, a schools' program that delivers Positive Relationship Education (PRE), a curriculum consisting of 32 weekly lessons. Its system is based on promoting 8 foundation virtues - Respect, Compassion, Listening, Kindness, Gratitude, Love, Friendship and Care. The early intervention of PRE serves as a preventative measure against socially harmful behaviours. It does this by developing students’ self awareness (identity), their strengths, their ability to contribute to the world and, therefore, their social conscience. This also gives rise to their mental wellbeing. It’s approach is holistic and engaging. And, if you look at the results, highly impactful on students, staff, families and communities. Loving Classroom was independently and professionally evaluated by South Africa’s Gauteng Ministry of Education between the years 2019-2022. The results from an ever-increasing number of schools and students (83,000 children by 2022,) participating in the pilot showed a significant decrease (approx. 80%) in violence, bullying, late-coming/absenteeism and racism. As a result of the program, children requiring psycho-social services and support were identified and given needy interventions. This vital process has saved students from a future of crime, drug addiction and depression, creating a vast saving to the Government in policing, welfare and medical resources. Loving Classroom has been introduced to select schools in the UK, the Middle East and Africa with remarkable impact. PRE should be incorporated into every school around the globe because divisiveness, objectification of human beings and lack of values is a worldwide problem that must be tackled from within. And don't we want a healthy, harmonious future for our children?
